Dear ones, it\u2019s Nora and Lena! You may also know that many students are concerned about what they want to do after school. In Germany we have a lot of possibilities and many doors are open for us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many possibilities after school<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

For example, you can opt for a voluntary social year, a federal voluntary service or a voluntary ecological year in Germany. In addition, you can go abroad with various organizations with an international voluntary service, an au pair program or \u201cwork & travel\u201d. Of course, there is also the possibility to start training or studying immediately after school. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After school, we were both unsure which direction we would take. We were looking forward to new exciting experiences and therefore decided on an international volunteer service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lena\u2019s time in India:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

I lived in India for a year after graduating from high school and worked there in a children\u2019s home for HIV-positives and from AIDS suffering children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are 2.1 million people living in India who are infected with HIV. Girls are particularly hard hit worldwide. Here you can read more about this topic<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The children\u2019s home belongs to the missionary sisters of Hiltrup. There are also many other organizations that offer international volunteer service. For example, you can find many different providers though the international youth volunteer service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
