Homeschooling – 5 tips to get through homeschooling

Homeschooling – for some a great opportunity with a lot of freedom, for others a nightmare in which you feel totally alone. In this article, we’ll give you tips & tricks to help you survive the next round of homeschooling and not come back to Corona completely exhausted from the time.

1. mutual assistance and social commitment

We are all in the same boat and pursue the same goals. If we pull together, then challenging times like these might even be fun! Offer your help and if you feel overwhelmed yourself, don’t be too shy to ask for help.

2. do not neglect your passion

Especially now, don’t forget what you’re passionate about. If your real passion is not feasible right now, then try to find an alternative to have a balance to homeschooling for you.

3. get shit done

Stop procrastinating and make to do lists to get into action. It’s not the work you do that stresses you out, it’s the work you put off. There are several apps that can help you be productive, such as Forest. To motivate yourself, you can also work with rewards. But with all the stress and pressure on you, always think about your well-being. If you don’t manage to do something, that’s perfectly okay, especially in the current situation. So be gentle with yourself and allow yourself to not always have to do everything perfectly.

4. routines and habits

Do you have to get over brushing your teeth before going to bed? Probably not, because this is part of your routine. To get out of the homeschooling mess, we highly recommend you to structure your day and have habits.

5. talk about your problems

There is a solution for everything, no matter how hopeless it seems to you! Friends & family are always good people to talk to, but sometimes it can also help to talk to someone who doesn’t know you.
